No próximo domingo, dia 25 de agosto, às 21 hrs, os VJs Didi Effe e Daniel Furlan apresentam o VMA 2013, pelos estúdios da MTV Brasil, ao vivo.
A edição 2013 do evento será a 30ª em sua história, por isso irá ganhar uma comemoração especial. A premiação volta a Nova York após 3 anos acontecendo em Los Angeles, e o palco da comemoração será o Barclays Center, no Brooklyn, local que costuma receber grandes shows da música pop mundial como Beyoncé, Justin Bieber e P!nk.

O tradicional 'Astronauta de Prata' entregue como troféu aos vencedores da premiação desde 1984, ano de sua estreia, desta vez ganhou uma nova versão. O artista novaiorquino KAWS, mais conhecido pela arte de rua, especialmente o graffiti, foi quem recebeu a missão de dar a nova cara para o 'Moonman'.
Diferente das demais edições, a MTV americana divulgou os artistas que concorrerão ao astronauta de prata em uma série de stopmotions pelo Instagram. Os artistas que saíram na frente foram Justin Timberlake e Macklemore, com seis indicações cada um.

O VMA deste ano terá performances incríveis, e essa seleção de cantores esta composta por: Lady Gaga, que subirá no palco depois de se apresentar pela última vez em 2011, o rapper Kanye West fará a sua sétima apresentação no palco do Video Music Awards, Miley Cyrus cantará o single 'We Can't Stop', Katy Perry também entrou para a lista de performances e vai apresentar seu novo single 'Roar' pela primeira vez ao vivo.
